In 1981, I supported the Rotor System Research Aircraft
(RSRA) project as a FORTRAN programmer in a one-year honors
co-op program with De Anza College. I had my first "internet"
account at that time on the ARPANet.
In
the late 1980's to the early 1990's time frame, I created
a company, PC Docs, where I would make house calls to fix
the PC's of home users. Few "help" books were
around to teach people how to use their PCs and computers
were very confusing for the end user.
In 1991, CERN came up with a concept for the WWW. In 1993
I reverse-engineered my first web page on hooked.net. I
have been building web pages ever since.
In 1997, I created the website for our project at Lockheed.
In 1999, I joined ConvergeNet and helped establish their
intranet and their external website. After Dell bought ConvergeNet,
I transferred to Cisco Systems where I worked in the Network
operations Center in conjunction in Disaster Recovery to
create dynamic web-based systems for dissemination of information.
I received two awards during my stay at Cisco Systems and
our group appeared in the January 10, 2000, issue of Newsweek.
